Charlton Neighbourhood Forum and Area Applications

What do we want to know:

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has received an application from a community group in the Charlton area to designate a ‘Neighbourhood Area’ and a ‘Neighbourhood Forum’.

We would like to know whether you agree with the proposed Neighbourhood Area boundary and the purpose and objectives of the proposed Neighbourhood Forum as set out in the Forum’s constitution

Description:

An application has been made to the Royal Borough of Greenwich to designate the Charlton (London) Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Area under sections 61F and 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) and in accordance with Part 2 and Part 3 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

What are a Neighbourhood Area, a Neighbourhood Forum and a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Forum is a group of local people which is founded with the purpose of improving a Neighbourhood Area through producing a Neighbourhood Plan.   A Neighbourhood Plan gives communities the opportunity to guide future development of land in the Neighbourhood Area and can address a wide range of local planning issues.

The application can be downloaded below.

Any comments must be made by midnight on Friday 14th January 2022 via email to planning.policy@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or by post to Planning Policy at the Woolwich Centre, Wellington Street, Woolwich, SE18 6HQ.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich will take all views into account when deciding whether to designate the Neighbourhood Area and whether to create the Charlton (London) Neighbourhood Forum.  If designated, the Forum can start to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Neighbourhood Area.

Outcome:

This consultation started on 24 November 2021 and finished on 01 March 2022
