What do we want to know:

The Council's key objectives are to:

• put you at the centre of the engagement process to increase collaboration, inclusivity and trust
• ensure early and meaningful engagement
• make the process simpler, accessible and understandable to all
• ensure we reach more people and local groups in the community 
• keep local people and groups informed of progress and to let you know about future consultation events
• provide a range of opportunities and consultation methods that are inclusive, appropriate, cost effective and timely.

We want to know how local people would like to be informed about consultations on planning issues, how they want to give feedback, how they would like developers to inform you about proposals for a major development, and what you would like to see in the new Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

Description:

We’re consulting on the development of our new Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), to ensure local people and organisations are involved from the start of the planning process and throughout. Your feedback will help us to develop a draft SCI which will be subject to further consultation.

Outcome:

This consultation started on 16 November 2022 and finished on 31 March 2023
