The Council is asking residents to comment before it sets its annual budget for 2023 to 2024.

As the cost of living crisis continues to create huge pressure on local government, the Council will have to make tough decisions to balance the year’s annual budget.

Before the Council takes a decision, we’d like to hear your views on how we should set the budget for the coming year.

The consultation is open until Sunday 5 February.

From 13 Jan 2023 to 24 Mar 2023

We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of people living in HMOs (house in multiple occupation) across the borough and making greater improvements in our local environment. Before making our decision, we want to hear your views on our proposals, and any alternatives we could consider.

We would especially like to hear from private tenants, landlords, letting and managing agents, residents, businesses and organisations operating in Royal Greenwich.

This consultation will only be used for research purposes and any information you provide will not be personally identifiable in any reports, however, organisations may be identifiable. All admission authorities are required to formally consult if they want to make any changes to their schools’ admission arrangements for the following school year. They also have to consult on their schools’ admission arrangements at least once every seven years, even if there have been no changes during that period.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich co-ordinates an annual school admissions consultation on behalf of all community schools in the borough.

The consultation on school admission arrangements for September 2024 is now open. The consultation will run from Tuesday 22 November until midnight, Friday 6 January 2023.

Proposed changes to the school admission arrangements for Community schools for 2024 intakes include:

  • Linton Mead Primary School to reduce its published admission number (PAN) from 60 to 30.
  • New definition for the medical/social care needs criterion within the oversubscription criteria.
  • Better clarity on the rationale for consideration and how applications are assessed under the medical/social needs criterion of the oversubscription criteria.

The Council is working to build a comprehensive picture of how the rising cost-of-living is impacting the borough through its campaign Greenwich Supports.

Local businesses are vital to boosting the economy, providing jobs for local people and helping build strong communities and increasing vibrancy in our town centres and high streets.

However, the Council recognises that local businesses and employers will likely be facing similar challenges to those of their staff, with rising costs and other inflationary pressures. Now is the chance to have your say.

From 06 Jul 2022 to 30 Jan 2023

We have launched a survey to better understand how we can support residents in Royal Greenwich with the rising cost of living. This will be part of a wider plans to reach residents across the borough with chances to meet Councillors face to face and help close any gaps in support.

We want you to share how the cost of living is affecting you and your communities, so that our diverse borough can shape how the Council responds to issues such as food poverty and hardship.

Due to the personal nature of questions, we want you to know any information gathered will remain anonymous and not be shared.

We appreciate you taking the time to fill in this survey and look forward to working with you to build a better and brighter future for all Royal Greenwich residents. At the end of the survey, you will find links on where you can get support, and who to contact.
