Consultation on Royal Borough of Greenwich School Admission Arrangements for 2025/26
What do we want to know:
Like most London Local Authorities, Royal Greenwich is experiencing falling rolls in the mainstream sector of the primary phase. The declining demand for school places has meant that for the above schools, the pupil intake is not sufficient to utilise all of their available forms of entry. A reduction in PAN will enable them to plan with greater certainty in terms of staffing, curriculum delivery and financial viability. It also allows for provision be re-established in the longer term, if required.
Views are also being sought on whether Royal Greenwich’s arrangements would better suit local needs if priority was given to children of staff.
- Comments are invited on all elements of the arrangements but would be particularly welcomed in respect of the following proposal to reduce the published admission number (PAN) for entry in the reception class from September 2025 in the following schools:

Description:
Consultation on Proposed Admission Arrangements for Royal Greenwich Community Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, including Sixth Form for the 2025/26 Academic Year
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is consulting on the following:
- Admission arrangements for community nursey, primary and secondary schools, including Sixth Form, for the 2025/26 academic year.
-
Co-ordinated primary and secondary planned admission schemes for the 2025/26 academic year.
- That Royal Greenwich’s ‘relevant area’ for admissions purposes remains the same as the Council’s administrative area.
