The Council has a legal duty to:
- Eliminate unlawful sex discrimination and harassment.
- Promote equlity opportunity between men and women.
To ensure we meet our duties, we have published a draft Gender Equality Scheme setting out our overall objectives and priorities for promoting equality and tackling discrimination.
