Gender Equality Scheme

What do we want to know:

To seek the views of the public, Council staff and community organisations on the draft equality scheme. See document attached to this listing.

The Council has a legal duty to:

  • Eliminate unlawful sex discrimination and harassment.
  • Promote equlity opportunity between men and women.

To ensure we meet our duties, we have published a draft Gender Equality Scheme setting out our overall objectives and priorities for promoting equality and tackling discrimination.

Greenwich Council is committed to promoting equal opportunities for all residents and employees in the borough.  We would like to hear your views on our new draft equality schemes covering disability and gender.

Outcome:

This consultation started on 01 March 2010 and finished on 07 October 2010
