Avery Hill Controlled Parking Zone Attitude Survey
What do we want to know:
The survey aimed to get feedback from local residents and businesses about introducing a controlled parking zone near the Avery Hill Campus of Greenwich University. Residents and businesses were first consulted in 2010 in response to the pressure put on parking spaces by university students. This survey followed on from the earlier exercise.
Local parking issues have now changed as follows:
Student numbers are now decreasing at Avery Hill campus, so fewer students will be parking their vehicles in the surrounding roads. This reduces the risk of students using roads outside the CPZ in Bexley, putting pressure on parking spaces there. It makes it easier to create a CPZ that satisfies both Greenwich and Bexley residents and businesses. Also, the Royal Borough now charges more for resident parking permits.
Further details are in the briefing document which includes a report on the outcome of the 2010 survey.
Description:
Local residents and businesses are now being invited to an exhibition of draft plans on 7 - 9 February 2013. Attendees will able to complete a feedback (representations form).
The plans and feedback form are available and attached to this listing.
Outcome:
This consultation started on 01 October 2011 and finished on 01 March 2013
