We would like to thank all those who responded to this survey. The outcome has helped us to design proposal on which we are now asking people to give their views.

We are currently seeking local views on its revised Gambling Statement of Principles document. To ensure that applicants and interested parties are dealt with in a fair and open manner the document contains principles by which the Royal Borough processes Gambling License Applications. It ensures that applications are considered with due regard to - Safeguarding the quality of life for residents, children and vulnerable adults - Ensuring that residents and others are fully informed about gambling activity in their area and have an opportunity to comment - Providing a firm but fair enforcement of the Gambling Act and associated Licensing conditions.
A local community group in the Lee area has made an application seeking the designation of a neighbourhood area and the creation of a neighbourhood forum. The Lee group’s proposed neighbourhood area covers parts of the borough of Lewisham and the Royal Borough of Greenwich. If the applications are approved, no other organisation or body may be designated for that area until this designation expires or is withdrawn.
